Tucked away on the shore of Tucker Bayou is the beautiful, turn-of-the-century Wesley Mansion. The mansion has elegant white columns and a wrap-around porch and is surrounded by moss-draped live oaks (more than 600 years old) and ornamental gardens.
In 1963, Lois Maxon bought and renovated the home, creating a showplace for her family heirlooms and antiques. Today, the collection of Louis XVI furniture is the second largest in the United States.
Visitors can enjoy the grounds, gardens, and picnic area from 8 AM to sundown, 365 days a year.
Guided tours of the Wesley Mansion are available hourly Thursday through Monday from 10 AM to 3 PM, including holidays.
Adult admission is $4 and children 12 and under are $2. State Park entrance fee for vehicles is $4 and $2 for bicyclists and pedestrians.
Eden State Gardens is located two miles off US Highway 98 on CR 395 North in historic Point Washington. 850-267-8320
